Alain Vanderelst

Alain has been a lawyer for over thirty years specialising in corporate and competition law in both Belgium and Europe including business law, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, EU competition law, agency and distributorships.

He has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 1983 and has previously worked as a lawyer at De Bandt van Hecke Lagae and Van Bael (1983-1985) and at Van Bael & Bellis (1986-1993).   In 1993 he was one of the founders of our Belgian affiliate, concentrating on international and Belgian business clientele. 

Throughout his career Alain has published numerous articles and papers, including:

Alain holds a degree in law (University of Antwerp, 1982) and Master of Laws (Georgetown University, 1983).
