What We Are Looking For
We are actively recruiting dynamic partner-level lawyers with significant international experience, who want something different, are excited about the prospect of growing or enhancing their own global practices, controlling their own futures, keeping more of their earnings, and growing and leading our organization into the future.
The opportunity suits those who are thinking about exiting or have recently exited high profile traditional firm roles, or top-level in-house cross-border general counsel who have the desire, proven ability and track record to return to private practice at the highest global level.
In all cases, interested counsel must be self-starting, willing to work in a fast-moving and global environment, and be interested in expanding their own practices further and leading a dynamic, global group on and through our unique, highly successful platform on an international scale, supported by over 4,500 counsel, ready to work for them, worldwide.
Lawyers can be based in key geographic business centers in the US, UK, or the EU.
We are looking particularly for cross-border generalists, international M&A, commercial and labor law counsel, international property lawyers, global power and energy industry counsel, private equity practitioners, cross-border bankruptcy and restructuring partners, and regulatory counsel with a drive to succeed and lead.
Backgrounds in such specialized sectors as oil and gas, mining, biopharma, and agro-business will be considered if your background is truly international and compatible with a substantial international business law practice.
Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years in international cross-border experience with an international firm, or be at GC or regional GC level in-house with a major corporation, be fluent in English, have a top drawer background, and preferably are conversant in one or more other foreign languages, with excellent blue-chip references and a track record of advising on top-level cross border business law issues.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Training and experience in a top international law firm or boutique, or in top global in-house positions.
- At least 8 years of international cross-border business law experience
- An established client base or the ability and desire to build one
- Fluent in English and preferably conversant in one or more other foreign languages
- Strong business development and organizational skills
- Motivation and ability to lead and own an innovative international law practice and grow it substantially
- Excellent blue-chip references and academic background
