Barry Stanton

Barry is a Managing Partner and employment Partner at our affiliated leading independent English law firm. He advises international and UK-based businesses on all aspects of employment law and is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused solutions that help clients manage risk and achieve strategic goals.
Barry has extensive experience in complex workplace matters, with particular expertise in TUPE, restrictive covenant issues, and complex discrimination claims. He regularly supports clients through a broad range of employment and HR challenges, including restructurings and sensitive disputes, and is also closely involved in business immigration matters and international workforce issues.
Barry joined the firm in 2001 and led the Employment Team from 2009 to 2023, helping to establish a dedicated business immigration service. As Managing Partner, he plays a central role in leading the firm’s strategic direction and is committed to developing and enhancing client service delivery, including leveraging the opportunities created by digital transformation to drive efficiency and value.
Barry regularly writes and comments on topical employment issues and presents at webinars involving UK and EU employment law. He also works closely with overseas firms to manage clients’ international employment matters.
